A concerned netizen has called out Davido, accus!ng him of consistently trying to overshadow Wizkid whenever he is being celebrated. The message expressed disappointmΓͺnt over what appears to be a pattern of attention-seeking behavior from Davido, especially during significΓ’nt moments in Wizkid’s career.

According to the netizen, Davido seems uncomfortable whenever Wizkid receives public praise or global recognition. “Each time Wizkid is being celebrated, Davido always finds a way to shift attention to himself,” the netizen wrote. “Why is it that you’re never happy when Wizkid is being acknowledged? Why must you always do something to distract people from focusing on him?”

The fan referenced Wizkid’s recent birthday, claiming that Davido went out to purchase a Lamborghini that same day — not coincidentally, but alleg£dly to divert attention from the global celebration of Wizkid. “People from the UK, US, France  the whole world — were celebrating Wizkid. But instead of joining in, Davido tried to st£al the spotlight.”

Further examples were cited, including when Wizkid dropped the song “Kese” and the world was vibing to it, only for Davido to immediately release his own song “Awuke.” Similarly, when Wizkid dropped his album Morayo, Davido allegedly tried to shift focus by doing a 100 million naira giveaway  again, on the same day. “Even Tunde Ednut didn’t post about Wizkid that day,” the fan added, implying that Davido’s moves aff£ct media narratives.

The message concluded with an appeal: “Davido, you’re a superstar too. The sky is big enough for both of you to shine. You’ve been competing with Wizkid for 15 years, but it’s clear he’s in a league of his own. Instead of trying to compete or overshad0w him, why not just rest and enjoy your own blessings? Anytime Wizkid is being celebrated, don’t overstress yourself. Be calming down.”
