It honestly shock£d me. I felt really bad when I saw that post. That move showed a lack of emotional intelligence and financial awareness. There’s something we call financial ambiance—when your financial decisions are in harmony with your emotional and social environment. In this case, your financial intelligence clearly isn’t aligned with your emotional intelligence.

This was a financial mistake. In the long run, it can afféct your finances, because you're not buying things out of necessity but out of sentiment and impulse. I didn’t expect this from you, Davido. At the very least, I expected you to show some respect to the mood of the nation. Nigerians are mourning, and you’re out here celebrating a luxury purchase?

Even if you had to buy the car, you could have kept it low for now. What’s the point of showing it off while people are crying and struggling? Nigerians are heartbroken, the nation is tense—depréssion, economic hardship, insecur!ty. Look at Warri refinery, it's still not functioning. Roads from Benin to Delta are terrible. These are real issues that your money could help address, to at least console or uplift people during hard times.
