A lot of people often ask how I met my wife, Simi, so here’s the story. I first discovered her music and found myself playing one of her songs on repeat. Deeply moved by her voice, I decided to reach out and slid into her Facebook DMs.

 I sent her a message—filled with plenty of grammatical errors—but she didn’t see it. It wasn’t until much later that we finally met in person. That moment came in Bogoriri, where she had come to perform. I saw her and thought she was incredibly beautiful. We became friends, and as a sharp guy, I told her, “Let’s do this life thing together.” 

From that point on, our journey began. Simi has been an incredibly supportive partner. She gives me great advice—most times, when I don’t follow it, I end up regretting it. We share our music with each other before releasing it. There’s no pretense in our relationship, and that honesty has kept the love in our marriage pure and strong.
